B4 Wheels
« on: February 17, 2009, 09:42:26 PM »
Hi folks,
I am piecing together a 91 B4 that needs a lot of help. I just discovered tonight that both the front and rear wheel are dented. Can anyone tell me what other wheels might fit without mods needed? Or, does anyone have any good wheels that they want to sell?
Thanks, Bob Boelens - bboelens@dubric.com

Are they unrideable?  I have a couple pretty good dings in the ZXs front and don't notice a thing.  Sometimes they can be fixed, too.

and I have a noticable "ding" in both the front and rear wheels of my B6, and don't notice any issues up to 200 kmph.

Unless it's an appearance thing, as long as the tires seals up OK on the wheel, and the ding hasn't upset the height of the tire, you don't necessarily need to replace them.

Also, if the ding is bad enough to effect balance or handing, most major metro areas have a shop that can straighten them.  My son had his B12 wheel straightened after it took a bad hit from a pothole.
