B400 cams by webcam
« on: May 15, 2005, 08:43:19 PM »
I have a set of cams that webcam made for my bandit 400.  Due to new circumstances(ie new wife) I won't be doing any more mods to the bandit.  My loss is your gain. $325.00 plus shipping.  I can accept paypal, or money order.  If interested, send me a pm.

Thanks!! :thanks:

I'm bummed about losing the cams, but hopefully the tradeoff will be worth it.

Wife, Bike, Wife, Bike... hmmmm... that's a tough one.

It would have to be a pretty special lady for me to trade in my bike...

It's much easier to find a bike you can live with than it is a woman, so the sacrifice is probably a good one... as long as she isn't forbidding motorcycles in the future.

Why can't you keep the bike and woman, especially a bike like a B4 that's not a high ticket item and is (I assume) paid for. Back in the dark ages, I managed to keep my bike when I first got married - and I was an unemployed student marrying a gal w/kids.

I don't think he's loosing his bike, just his mods budget.

Well there is still hope.  I didn't get any interest, so I managed to talk a freind into helping me put the cams in.    The cams are in the bike now.  Tomorrow, we adjust the valves and then button everything back up and take it for a ride.  I should be able to give a seat of the pants report tomorrow night, and then hopefully a dyno update the first part of next week.

Do you need to adjust ignition the timing for these new cams?

So was that the quote you got from webcam?  That does seem cheep, but I know they do a lot of work for a VW engine guy I know, so they seem to do good work, so I dunno....can't wait to see some dyno figures etc though!

yes they do good work , but the impression i got was that they just fixed them instead of made hypo cams they had said thet they just shipped a set out and it would cost me 150.00 for the same thing so im curious myself that why i wanted to know the lift difference from stock to those cause when i measure stock b4 versus my gsxr 400 cams they are signifcantly different!
