#1 Carb Flooding out help!!!!!!

well my bike is running awesome, but the #1 carb floods out and then the bike wont run. basically when priming the carbs for the first time/after emptying the #1 float bowl the bike starts up and runs awesome, but if you let the rpm's drop too low or stop riding(light/stop sign) without blipping the throttle it will flood out and die. it also wont start very easily at all after it floods out. it takes roughly 30 seconds to get it started and then it needs full throttle(only runs at like 3000 rpm) and then it will eventually kick the gas out and run good again.

carbs have been cleaned and rebuilt 3 times. everything checked and adjusted.

anyone have any ideas?!?!?!?!?!!

Checked your float needle valve, see if it has worn, you can reference to the service manual how a worn needle valve look like.

The needle valve will shut off the fuel intake when the float is lifted up by the fuel in the float bowl once filled to the correct level (float height default is 14.5mm)

if the needle valve is worn, fuel will continue to flow and flood your carb and you will see fuel dripping from the bypass hole

Is your fuel tap (aka petcock) functioning properly?

floats are at the correct height. there is no fuel coming out of the bypass. it is getting into the #1 cylinder on occasion.

the petcock was just replaced

Get a new carburetor from ebay
