GSXR400 Question for Jay
« on: August 18, 2005, 05:48:34 PM »
There's a guy in my city selling an '88 gsxr400. Does that share the same basic engine as the bandit? Or is it too early? I'm thinking about going to take a look at it.

I tried googling it, but couldn't really figure it out.

It's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than a fast bike slow.

Thanks mang. I figured you'd know. What do you think?

14,000 km's imported this year from Japan. If I can talk him down on the price a bit I might pick it up.

Is there any diff between the Gix4 front end and the dual disc B4 front end on the non-US models?

That GSXR400 is a nice looking bike. Looks like someone took good care of it. Can you get it registered?

That's the only problem. I don't have much bargining power when everything looks perfect.

It's already been registered in my province so it wouldn't be a problem. But I'm not really looking for another street bike. I want to build a track bike, that happens to share parts with my bandit.

If the answer is "no" there'd be no "sept"
Anyway, the fork tubes wouldn't care where the handlebars are.
