So after sorting the carb issue, it was time for the final strip down and finish, so........

We're now about here

Got a fair bit of tidying up to do on the frame, and to finish up the welding to teh rails and ignition mount.

Then it can go off for paint, and i can start the labourious task of cleaning/painting and powder coating everything else.

When its done will you post a video of the rear suspension being compresses and moving? I might copy this build on my next build.

Yeah no problem chap, you might have to remind me though

To be honest its really stiff, there's next to no static sag even with the compression and preload wound right off so it probably wants a softer spring.

I'll probably just do my normal thing and ride round it though, i'll have to see how it goes.

Things are moving on, have been prepping and painting various bits, the frame and wheels have gone away to be painted professionally and the last bits of machining are with the machine shop.

Stripped and rebuilt the rear caliper - new pads to match the new light weight rear race disc

Bottom Yoke cleaned and scotchbrited

Front Disc centres painted

Front Calipers stripped and rebuilt - new pads on the way

Big box of bits for the powder coater

Also built myself a shock spring compressor - spring now off being painted the same as the frame

Hope to have the frame back at the weekend so it'll soon be time to start putting it all back together.

Cheers

Chris

Been a bit slow going again but finally got round to getting it back up on its wheels

Decided as it was cold and because the engine was still wet after painting it in the shed that we'd rebuild the chassis in the kitchen - nice only being 2 feet from the kettle

Thought it was about time to update this, we're on the final push to the end.

Engine is now back in and i've finished up a lot of little bits.

The seat is now covered, the bodywork is off being painted and its only little details left to finish.

I've also started looking at the possibility of constructing a low boost turbo system..............
