Individual Air Filters...

If you put on the pod filters you can't reinstall the side covers as they use to screw into the airbox. I just finish over 60 dyno pulls and there is no HP advantage to going with the pods, infact there is a dip in  the midrange torque with them!!  highest  hp to date is 68.9 @ 12550 with 65hp still @ 13750. Going to take it to the drag strip in 2 weeks and see if I can better my best et of 13.42 @ 96 MPH

I picked up some UNI UN-4229's from the local shop.  I don't think they will work without some trimming.  Cyl's 1&2 and 3&4 are so close together that there is not much room for individual filters...  I have no idea how that guy got the individual BMC pods to work

The BMC dual filters look like a good option (but I'm too poor right now).  Spacey86, I don't think you'll be able to run side covers on a pod filter setup as they stick out from the carbs without tapering in severly.

My next step is to get a sheet of the UNI foam and lay that down in the airbox, and swiss cheese the airbox top with a hole saw...

Mine don't.

Mine clip in at the frame and gas tank. There are some screw eyelits, but they don't actually in line up with anything, so I don't use them.

They should line up with the front threaded hole in your airbox.  The rear one attaches the airbox to the frame.  [insert headscratch emoticon here]

Can't give away all of my secrets  lol  But here are a few, slotting the cam sprokets and doing over 20 pulls finding the right combination of cam timing. Modifing the ignition pickup as to make it adjustable. Fine tuning the jetting with a wide band O2 sensor, And to get the final few hp's VP's newest fuel  MR9 which is an awsome fuel 10% more power than any other fuel we have tested. 3% more power than my old fuel MR1. Oh and Mobil 1 oil

Sorry to necromance an old topic but I need a little info. For those of you running pod air filters, what jets are you using? I'm in central OH so elevation isn't much of an issue.
