Replacement coolant bottle
« on: July 26, 2010, 06:28:50 PM »
Been looking at old posts about rear shock swaps and seen various mentions of fitting smaller bottles, but no mention of what sort of bottles are being used.

What bikes are these smaller bottles off of? Or are you using some sort of bottle from the supermarket and adapting the fitting?

Thanks
Ann

I'm getting ready to move mine for a different shock. I've seen guys use a red bull cans, etc as a coolant bottle. I'm looking into doing a aluminum water bottle for mine.

Exactly what I did and used the factory lid. Basically a large pill bottle with the top modified for the OEM lid/hose assembly. Zip tied into place and works just fine, hasn't failed tech at the track yet.

:thanks:, I've got a spare lid/hose assembly, so i'll have a wander around the chemists tomorrow, and buy whatever looks suitable.
