Restricting a B400....
« on: April 18, 2006, 06:36:32 AM »
Hi,

I have just found that it will cost me a £144.95 (GBP) for a restriction kit to go on a B400... pretty bloody steap...

does anyone know of a cheaper legal way to restrict a bike to 33bhp???

Cheers'
Ben...

hi guys, ive had a 33BHP kit put on my bandit, cost me £120 4 years ago. Ive still got the kit somewhere, its yours if you want it, I also have the paperwork if needed, although it does have engine numbers and reg number on it.

I know its expensive, but the kit needs to me installed by a professional, and your not paying for the four pieces of metal, your paying for the paper work.  The bike ran ok with it in and seemed fast around town, it could still rev also, downside it would only get to 100Mph when being ragged in every gear.

I took the kit out a few months after it was installed but because i still had the paperwork to prove it was installed, then if you get knocked for a 7day wonder, then you've got all the right paperwork to produce.

Cheers
