Making a track bike and taking a bike to the track are infinitely cheaper.

Motorcycles aren't necessarily cheap to get onto the track because of the investment you have to make in safety gear and maintenance but really no more than making them street-worthy.

I've always wanted to track my cars but the cost in prep and the trackday have always been prohibitive for me. A day on the track for the motorcycle is usually around $150 and easily double that for the car.

Of course costs outside of that like fuel etc aren't included but a car is x4 whereas a motorcycle is x2. If you already own a trailer or a truck, that's one other thing you don't have to factor in for the bike either. I wouldn't recommend riding to the track.
