Found the rich issue, Now need the fix.
« on: September 11, 2010, 11:18:06 AM »
Yesterday I found out that the #1 cylinder doesnt get hot at idle.  It does however get very hot immediatly when giving more throttle.  So I took the plugs out to double check for good spark, that checked out good.  I then took the carbs off to drill out the plugs to adjust the air fuel mixture.  I turned each screw out 1 turn for less fuel.  When I completed that, I found out that when I lift up the black plastic thing at the front of the carb on cylinder 1, fuel comes into the cylinder.  No other cylinders do that.  So my guess is thats where the extra fuel is comming in from, causing my hard starts.  What does that black thing do, and how can I stop the fuel from going into the cylinder when its open?  I just did new o rings the other day.

I would say that the float needle valve is sticking on 1 or the float height is wrong.
