Another Busa Fork Conversion Post!
« on: March 25, 2009, 12:40:02 AM »

Stripped, prepped and painted the new Busa wheel Sunday!

The Galfer rotors were a tease they were off my buddies ZRX to bad they wont fit I ended up getting a set off a TL 1000!

Put her up on the lift and got her ready for the Busa forks!

Machined down a bronze bushing for the Busa upper tripple to accept the Bandit stem today! What's the moto measure once machine three times?

Awesome stuff!

Once you get rid of the stock front end it becomes a whole new bike.

sweet thread, keep us updated how it goes. Hope to put my own busa forks in within the next month or two. While the snow still flies  :banghead:
why did you go with a bronze bushing? (i haven't decided on materials yet so am looking for any good hints)

If I go with one I'll end up with one off a GSXR 600/750, some dude over at the other board put one on his bike with some minor mods looked sweet!

Stripped the lower end of the Busa forks today!

Set up the new steering stops, I really did not want to use my oil cooler!

Mounted the bars and started fitting the new gauge mount!

That's about as far as I got today need to swap the tire install the new bearings & and seals to the wheel and mount the head light turn signals etc. etc. etc.

Work slowed today after my 6 mm allen stripped making it a bitch to get the bolts out of th Bandit rotors  :banghead: (recycled to the Busa wheel) a trip to Sears problem solved. Then a trip across town to swap out the tire (Thanks Erik :thumb:).

Got home and started putting the little Beotch back together when my Buddy Turbo Bob showed up and noted the drag on the brakes after an hour of shimming the calipers she freed up a enough to take out for a ride once I finish putting her together?
