Fabricating / machining mod parts - need technical spec.

A friend can fabricate almost any mod I like but he needs exact dimensions of the parts (including any extra screw specs). Does anyone have detailed technical information on these things? The bike is 2002 B12, but most of these mods would work fine on a 600. Here is what I'm looking for:

- PAIR removal block-off plates
- Fork brace
- Lowering struts (dogbones). I need to lower the back by about 3cm.
- Handlebar riser. Any type will do.
- Motor mount kit. Those triangle shaped plates that Holeshot sells.
- Top end oiling kit. I've seen one that was made entirely of a machined block (no hoses).

Any other aftermarket mod that can be machined from metal is of interest as well, such as bar end weights, frame sliders, etc. Suggestions and info are highly appreciated.

For blockoff plates, just pull one of your PAIR tubes off the head and take it to him and have him make plates like the end of the tube.

For the fork brace, have him take the measurements - I'm sure he's got the precision tools, so if he takes the measurements, he'll be able to get every little dimension he needs.

For lowering struts, take one of yours to him and have him make you copies with the holes a little further apart. See the FAQ on making dogbones to get an idea how much further apart the holes should be.

For the motor mounts, it's the two open holes in the lower frame cradle and the hole in the engine just above them. Again, have your machinist friend take his measurements so he knows it's right. Since you're in Canada, you can buy the OEM lower mounts from Suzuki... the CDN 1G B12 had 'em.

A hoseless top end oiler? I haven't seem one of those. Got a picture?
All the ones I've seen use at least one hose.

Thank you for the fast and detailed reply Paul. Unfortunately taking measures by my friend is not an option, but I will try to do it myself. The motor mounts suggestion is very good, I didn't know they were ever made by Suzuki.

I'm still looking for technical documents / dimensions if anyone has them.

Edit: I couldn't find that billet top-end oiler, maybe I misinterpreted something I saw.

Interesting, thanks again. I couldn't find them on my microfiche, and I have one for all models. We'll see what the dealership will say...

If your microfiche is for a US model, they won't show up... and only the 1G Canadian ones had the lower mounts. Other markets have them on both generations.

I checked with the stealership yesterday and found it in their microfiche. Unfortunately the cost is totally prohibitive - CA$130+, not including shims and bolts. I wonder how they came up with such an outrageous figure - I can probably find a whole used frame for that kind of money! Anyway, back to the drawing board...
