Inconsistent Oil Level Readings

I agree with all your observations and thoughts... lots of wisdom there.

Yes, the only thing I am worried about is lurking problems such as the previous owner's oil change habits and that the bike was not run for a year.

The bike has already been to the shop has passed compression tests, runs great, except for this one observation.

I have already changed the oil once and added a very small amount of SeaFoam, ran it 400 miles and then changed the oil and filter. I am now >600 miles into this last oil change. I'm going to go through one more flush using and additive before changing the oil and putting it away for the winter.
