« on: January 24, 2008, 06:17:47 AM »
Hi All
looking for some info on aftermarket cams for an 01 B1200
I don't want a full on race grind just  a bit more duration to let it breathe better, jet kit and bolt on pipe.
                                   Thanks swagzz

You'll get more replies if you post this in the tech section, rather than the marketplace.

.... And so it's done.

Seems like I remember reading that GSXR cams are a good swap but I'll leave the specifics to more knowledgeable people than myself.

Over the counter OEM GSXR cams (86 thru 90) are a pretty much drop in.

Most people run just the intake cam along with carb and exhaust mods.

Yup!
Just be sure to used the Bandit cam sprockets!
The GSXR cam sprockets are different and not compatible with the Bandit (unless you're using a GSXR crank and cam chain, too).

I would highly recommend the 88-89 GSXR 750 intake cam and the 89 GSXR 750 exhaust cam. That is what I run in my Bandit and I also have access to OEM parts.
