The North American versions of the B12 don't have TRE wired up.  UK bikes do, but the jury is out as to if it really makes any difference.  The aftermarket TRE eliminators will still plug into a US/CDN B12, but you'd just be wasting your money buying one.

Was Red said the North American version didn't come with one. TRE stands for Timing Retard Elimination. There is a bit of explanation as well as instructions on a DIY for a GSXR here- http://www.bugmanweb.com/gsxr/gsxrindex.html
