Want to increase power and roar!
« on: June 16, 2005, 08:26:46 AM »
Due to being a newb to the bike world I would like to ask your advice on my beloved Bandit 600s. (1996)

I want to get better performance at low cost.
Im thinking of getting it dyno tuned for about £60 and also replacing my can as at the moment my bike is very quite with no growl, the neighbours love it but I want it sounding a bit more beasty but staying within the law if possible.

Is it true by replacing the can I can get better performanve alone?
At the moment I have a...

Nexxus
type xs6b
Fab No 35132
BS AU 193/T3

None of the above makes any sense to me:(

What would you guys do?

I have an identical B6 and the best mod is the Holeshot jet kit.  Its easy to do and gives great results for the $$.  I have a Supertrapp exhaust I got on ebay.  The same guy sells them over and over.  You can usually pick one up for under $100.  These two mods will give good power gains and it will give you the sound you want.

If you are going to put a new can on it, your going to have to rejet to make it run good...

It will run ok with stock jetting, but new jets will go along way with your performance quest..

New can and holeshot jet kit should give you the jump your looking for.
