Ok we finally got some weather over the week end that was, lets just say, dry enough to at least scrub a new front tyre in.
Well I am not suprised at all, after having used the 009 on the rear of the b6 now for couple of years now.
At first I must admitt, it felt strange, it tracked extremely well, and its straight line stablity was there, from the start. And it did take about 40 k's to work out the right tyre pressure, I started at 37psi what I used in the MEZ4, and finally settled for 35psi, but I feel its still a little to hard, over the next month and with a few weekend rides and daily work riding to work it out.
As most people that I know of who are all die hard shinko users, the strangness soon disapears, its willingness to turn in and fall over, is soon accepted and used to good effect. So much so that the 10mm of forks I have sitting up through the upper triple tree will remain. Yes the best of both worlds my friends, its extremely stable in a straight line and it turns in real smart.
as I said before in a earlier post boy racers watch out, the B6 has always been an eager beaver both in and out of corners, but now with less effort and more confidence.
, this tyre is going to crap over the MEZ4, and by what people I know who are using the 005 on the front, I should still get the same mileage out of. Mind you the MEZ4 did last 30,000 k's 18,000 miles. But even if it dont last as long the RRP, is like 2/3 of the RRP of the MEZ4.
Dont get me wrong for many years I've been a fan of the MEZ4 its a great allrounder, and if I had not been able to finally get the importer to bring one in, I would have undoubtably put another MEZ4 on the front again.

Update 15 July
Yeha, some dry weather, and with the confidence built up in the worst weather, its not long before both left and right hand pegs are copping the road way lightening system.
