you gotta love 162 hp and naked. But ugly, needs new front fender, headlight assembly, pipes, and I would like to ditch the signal pods on the side of the tank but thats probably not possible.
But it shows potential. I dont think I could spend 12 grand (just a guess no price listed yet) then pay 2k to replace all that offends me.

I understand the King's looks are... unconventional or controversial but I really like it.  I think they needed to do something if they want to keep up with the Speed Triple and FZ1 in the edgy, bad-ass category.

Herb is right and speaks for allot of us baby boomers with the cash to buy an upright standard because our bodies demand it. However I do feel that baby boomers need to realize that the Japanese are working on making new upright standard bikes that perform like a super sport and ride like a touring bike like the new Kaw Concours 14 with the Ninja 1400 engine. Believe me the Japanese  know that they have to pay special attention to the baby boomers. Even the cruising crowed which is predominantly baby boomers are starting to move more toward a performance cruiser like the B-king because the cat is out of the bag with Harley Davison and there choice of ship anchors that get you killed.

One thing that I would definitely have to change is the exhaust.  Some slip-ons would be a definite must if I got one.

Everytime I look at the new crop of (mad max style) bikes - the Triumph Thruxton looks better and better! I like my Bandit and my FZ, but the Triumph has the "Classic" look that Herb & I & others appreciate.  I can appreciate the full on sport bikes but some of the new ones have gone over the edge a little...

I guess that is one of the reasons why I was sad to see Norton go under again.  A nice mix of modern technology and older styling.

If they would put a wind screen on it and a plusher seat for me and the wife I would buy one. As it stands now the the new 1250 isn't enough to justify trading in the 1200s just yet.
  Kawasaki hit the mark with the new Connie but miissed my target for the price. That Guzzi sure is sweet to but there again...the price.....I need more money.

There is something masculinely cool about exposed fins. Every time I climb aboard my Bandit I'm still gassed by the pull and power. The B12.5 which was at least supposed to significant power gain, alloy weight loss, and better shocks only turned out be a duckling. I would defiantly pick the FZ1 or even Guzzi over that, but I can speak for everyone...
