Hi, my name is Eddie and I live very near Nashville, Tennessee. I ride a 2007 bandit 1250s and the bike is awsome. I spend a lot of time at Deal's gap and love to ride the tail of the dragon. My posse and I spend a lot of time in East Tennessee and North Western North Carolina. Love to ride the twisties. The Cherahola Skyway is awsome too.

I just got a 2007 "black" Bandit 1250s and I was thinking he same thing that you were.  WOW!!!!! This machine rocks!!! I have been riding for around 40 years and I have never riden anything better or should I say owned anything better. It is a very well designed bike. Smooth in all the right places, fast, quick, handles great and has torque to spare. What more could a rider want. New pipes, a little tweek tune, the gixxer cams and a power commander and we'll own the road. At least the portion that we are on any way!!!!!!

Mine's black too... the fastest color of course.  :bandit:

I wouldn't even worry about the cams... the torque is the key. Has to be ridden to be believed!

Don't know if you've seen this:

Whats up BanditAlley I am finally getting around to posting this (mostly because a certain admin wouldnt stop spamming my inbox about it :stickpoke: )

For starters my name is Paul Weitlauf Jr not to be confused with Sr who owns a slower 01 Bandit.  After 13 yrs of having a license I have finally purchased my first street bike.  A 1997 1200s Bandit, she is blue w/41k miles and a few minor scratches and dings but for a first bike I am very excited.  I plan on changing a few things about the way she looks ie:mirrors, lights, tank bra etc etc, but other then that I plan on riding the gas out of her over and over and over again  :taz:

I am 28 have a beautiful wife and daughter and live in Kirkland WA.  Although this is my first legal street bike I have been on two wheels since I was a kid and most recently did all my initial training on that slower 01 I mentioned earlier

I plan on being a pretty active member on these boards so I am sure I will talk to everyone soon.  Oh and I will post some more pics but here is one to get things going

There, fixed that for ya.   :stickpoke:

And maybe that red bike is slower than yours (jury's still out, IMHO) we'll have to wait and see if you can keep up with your old man.
I hear he gets off work in an hour - and the sun is shining...

No, but maybe we'll have to start one... American Bandits.
I don't have a son named Mikey though... but three daughters that know how to ride that aren't too mechanically inclined.

Might be more interesting to watch a show where the bikes get riden more than they ride in trucks/trailers.

Welcome Pauly. You'll have to share what your "faster plans" on the 97 over the 01. There is allot of Gen 1 owners on the board but besides that we'd be interested in any future head to head match up LOL.

I fixed his pic so it won't be so big.

Speaking of American Whopper... we went for a ride yesterday and grabbed a Whopper at mealtime. Here's a pic of the father & son B12's in front of BK:

The PO had set the rear shock preload to full soft in an attempt to compensate for his short inseam. That wasn't gonna do for Pauly, so here's a shot of him learning how much fun it is to adjust the preload.

Hi there!

Call me Barbarian, since I've been using that handle as long as the internet's been around. Heck, before the internet was around ;)

So if you're looking at other boards and wondering if that's the same guy... it probably is.

I ride a 2006 650 Bandit w/ABS (any colour you want, as long as it's red), which I totally love.

In meatspace I produce TV news, live in Montreal (although I've been in several cities across the continent), married, kid, etc... [/code][/i]
