Hi everyone!
Trent here, from New Joisey. I just found an '01 1200s sitting in a guy's garage with 4400mi on it. It was dusty, cracked from a tip over, and had gummed up carbs. I got it for a song and had just sold a 919, cb750, and v65 Magna ( my Honda phase ) so the timing was perfect. It's all cleaned up & running great now, all stock except for a D&D. I've had a Kaw factory turbo since new and keep a revolving door of 2nd & 3rd bikes but this Bandit looks to be a keeper.

What song did you have to sing? Hope it was on key.

If you really want to make it bone stock again I'm willing to trade you my stock seat for your corbin just so you don't have to say "bone stock except for a corbin". Think of it as a present from me to you for returning to the Bandit

new guy from Greenville, SC.  I acquired a Black 2008 1250S about 6ish weeks ago and I'm really enjoying it so far.  I finished off the remaining chicken strip on the back tire today in the NC mountains.  My first bike is a Kawasaki Versys that I still have.  Great little bike but I wanted something bigger.  I looked and looked for a Bandit forum and didn't find anything that excited me until this one.  I'm not real sure how I missed it for so long.

John from GA. Went from '01 Volusia to '03 FJR1300 to '09 V-Strom 650 to '07 Bandit 1250. Missed that inline 4 power and found my Bandit with 1450 miles on the clock. Rode home 160 miles and it was great. Planning on the Spencer's Seat mod, 2 Bros. exhaust, and Double Bubble windshield.

Well,  :welcome: to you too BladeRunner!   And, if you're bike doesn't already have 'em, I'd look into Mirror extenders.  They make seeing behind you easier.  :bandit:

Thanks dhcolesj. Just ordered mirror extenders from ebay (Suzuki Bandit 600 650 1200 1250 Mirror Extenders Spacer). $40.48 with shipping, best price I could find.

Relatively new to Bandit Alley, long time Bandit owner.  Had a 1998 1200 Bandit bought new.  Did stage 1, Holeshot S/O, added oil temp gauge, voltmeter, Air/Fuel meter, Scottoiler, etc.  Rebuilt and worked a spare engine, dynoed 130HP peak, IIRC 80 ft-lbs torque.  Flipped me and the bike over a car, kid pulled out in front of me from a side street(broke his back axle, that'll teach 'em!).

Bought a 2001 with a D&D and stage 1 already installed.  Added voltmeter, oil temp gauge, 3 muffin fans on oil cooler, and Scottoiler with high capacity resevoir.

Used to be part of Farokh's bandit newsgroup.  (Anybody here remember that, with Anders the big swede one of the big contributors?)

I remember that!  Was a member there for a while when I first got my '01 B12... then I discovered this (and other) Bandit forums and dropped out from the e-mail list.
