I'm a 1911 in .45 guy myself.  My Kimber is a ProCarry HD II, all stainless.

I'm wantin' a full-size 1911 too.

To play on words, whats trippin' your trigger the most?  Personally, I would be hard pressed to pick just one...so many nice 1911s to choose from...Kimber is hard to beat, value to dollar....you would have to pay almost twice as much for a Wilson Combat to get what comes as standard on a Kimber....

It is hard to beat a Kimber out of the box.  I'd like (don't need) a full size with a bushing for my main shooting gun (tho I should probably start handloading if I do).  Maybe something good for IDPA shoots.

Racegun...mmmmnnnnn...I'm way past competing but I may have to have a racegun just to...have...When I was in the military I made the 101st Airborne Division Pistol Team....good duty for a young trooper...that's when I learned about the difference in an arms room gun  and the fully accurized rendition....also, I learned about the necessity to practice...I never stopped practicing...riding a bike to the range is very good for the soul...

MSRP is $400

You should be able to pick one up for $350 then.  I take it that's the blued price.

$438 for stainless

Or this little badass in Titanium for $600

I think it's a co-dependence thing, Lynn.

I was looking on gun auctions site for another Kimber .45. :stop:

Damn, I wish I could make the B.O.S.S. :boohoo:  :crybaby:

Co-dependence...yes..I know that....Maybe we could round up a few more riders and meet in.....Crossville, maybe....got to be some good roads around there.....sometime after B.O.S.S. if you like  ....I usually don't have a schedule unless wifey's little hobby business has use of me...you know, pick this up and carry it there kind of stuff.....we haven't really talked much about long guns yet... :blahblah: maybe "Bikeless Manny" can beg, borrow or steal a bike and we could hook up down around Chattanooga or the North Georgia mountains....getting closer to you Pete..maybe create a mini-regional ride for the folks that can't make The Blue Ridge....just a stray thought...

I actually have access to a 2003 B12S with only like 2k miles on it.  A buddy bought it when I had mind and now it just sits in his garage.  I just don't have time.

One gun store at a time, Lynn.  That's the way you do it.

I only went in one gun store.  Checked out a couple Kimber models, but resisted.  Only because I knew that I'd have a hard time living out of my truck with my guns when my wife kicked me out.

I bought a small cargo trailer last year....wife says that she is going to paint "doghouse" on the side and send my butt out to it when I "act up" as she calls it...I went ahead and put in a seat out of a van, my sleeping bag and some MREs......I'm thinking of an addition on to the garage....nicer quarters....
