I've got a few questions - probably elementary ones but not to me. I just recently found out that I don't have a cdi  :duh:

Are these carbs larger than the standard bandit carbs?

What would be involved in mating these to a US Bandit engine? Would the gasket be the same bandit gasket or...? Are the connections exactly the same...or some fiddling required?

What jetting kit would need to be used? I'm assuming that I would then need parts for the GSXR400 to fix the carbs after that or....?

Are they from a GK73 or some other variation of GSXR400?

What is the difference between the regular gsxr400 carbs and the sp model?

BTW, congratulations on your third place finish. Will you be able to race in the same field when you get the 442cc kit in? If so, then you should be able to kit a little more butt!
 :congrats:

Thats ok, it's a learning experiance

Yes, stock Bandit (USA model) has 32mm carbs, the GSXR uses 33mm carbs. It doesn't sound like much, but it equates to a large increase in flow.

Bolts right on, although it's a -little- tighter on the manifolds.

I'm not sure on the jetting, mine wasn't right at all. I'm not sure if other bikes use the same carbs or not or how hard they are to get parts for. I can't imagine they'll be harder to get parts for, considering the 32mm carbs are next to impossible anymore.

Mine were from a GK73a, I believe. I don't know about the GK76 (I think thats the other one).

yes 33mm

same just a bit tighter

Bandit jet kit works thats whats in maniacs, bandit o-rings work for all, slides are interchangable!

GK73

They are just from the race model , so i would hope that they flow a bit better and they are even harder to come by!

BTW, congratulations on your third place finish. Will you be able to race in the same field when you get the 442cc kit in? If so, then you should be able to kit a little more butt!
